I think it would be great( don't kill me). I know the last thing we neeed is another bank of any sort, but if they are going to build it, let it be the one I use. Maybe they will serve pizza and you can get your nails done all at one time.

It could happen!!
I AM THRILLED!!!! I am glad that they FINALLY saw that some of us in this area are not thrilled having to fight the Culebra traffic to bank...that is great!!! We were actually thinking of changing from SSFCU after all these years, and I bet since RBFCU opened here on Potranco we are not the only ones to have been thinking about or actually made the move.

I sent them an e-mail about a year ago and they said that they're not looking at Potranco and 1604. Guess they changed their mind. On the other side of Madison strip mall would be a nice location and is away from other banks.

Why is everyone so averse to online banking? I see it if you're running a business but if you're personal banking why not do most of it online?

And here's another one, why are folks still using personal checks? I was stuck behind someone writing a check at WalMart today. The husband scooted off with the cart leaving the woman to deal with the kids along with the purchases.
After much fumbling around writing the check, keeping the kids in line, and fumbling around with the necessary ID for writing a paper check we were able to move up. Just swipe a debit card already, it's the same damn thing!!!!!

Yeah, too bad they don't do like USAA and allow you to deposit checks online. I think that's the coolest thing. That's the only reason I ever find myself in the drive-thru lane--expense checks are always paper, never dd.

Yep love the online deposit with USAA. Especially when we get checks from grandma for birthdays and such. It's a PITA to drive over to USAA...so now I can scan and deposit right from home. Love it!

Sorry but I still like my checks. I pay all my bills online but I am the one you are fussing about in the stores. It helps me keep a better check on my spending and it's just my right to do so. You are welcome to go in front of me anytime, but I am going to write my check. I'm getting up there in years and write kinda slow these days if I think there is someone back there stewing over it!. Be nice . There are more people than you in the world. It could be you some day doing something someone else does not care for.

Sounds more like you had a problen with the husband running off then her writting a check maybe! lol

But thats just my thoughts. Sorry to be so harsh with you .

I must have repped you recently, it won't let me.

Yes it's more convenient to use cards, but checks are just fine. I read an article sometime ago about the Visa commercials, and how they make it seem like your money isn't any good because lord forbid, you use checks or even CASH instead of their cards...pffft.

Back OT - anyone know what HEB was doing? Was it a single promotion?
