I just tell them that I'm part of the only church sanctioned by Jesus Christ himself, the rock upon which Peter built the early church. They don't like it, but then I can tell them thousands of years of history and actually tell them how there church was founded and why it sidestepped some fundamental concepts in the bible.

using "ask Google is a bad example" You can use Google and find people that believe the world is flat, that doesn't make it true" If you don't want them knocking on your door, be an adult and ask them to stop coming around, and they will.

Great advice, but it's not that easy. They do not like to take "no" for an answer. Maybe you could just put a sign out on your door when you know they are in the neighborhood. Back here on the east coast, they usually park their car and a couple of them get out and start walking door to door.
