Maybe what I remember is Lowes in Castroville.

Don't remember Super S or Winns in Hondo, probably before my time there.

Yes...that is it. It became Lowes after Super S pulled out of that building. Thank you. I couldn't remember.

Looking at the most recent google maps. It is showing that "Anytime Fitness" is where Winns used to be. Super S was right next door.

IS that the same parking lot where Belles used to be?

I don't recall the fitness place. I haven't lived there in about 8 years, I wonder if it is new.

I really need to go back to Hondo one of these days.

I am not too sure about Belles and truth is, I never heard of that place. It sounds like my memory timeline is going past yours. There has been several restaurants over the years in the parking lot in one of the buildings. Some names I recall is Margaritas and Flightline Cafe.

Flightline Cafe original location was out near the airbase past the golf course where small planes could fly in, park the plane and dine then fly back out. A nice lady by the name of Besty Herman ran Flightline along with her mother who was in charge of the famous bread rolls.
