Sorry! You and I were posting at the same time apparently.

In any case, I'm still in shock. I had a bad feeling that after Ed Whitacre retired that there was a chance that they would move, especially since they had never built a permanent headquarters facility here. I always figured Atlanta or maybe San Francisco or New York as likely destinations.

Although only 700 people are moving, this will have massive reverberations through the city, not to mention the economic development black eye.

Oh don't worry about it. I just know how annoying it is to have two threads about the same issue. We both we're just on the ball..lol

If they are so devastated about 700 out of 6000 jobs moving to Dallas just wait until Fort Sam and Camp Bullis pull up stakes.

i will cut my at&t services then...
i don't like how they rationalize their decision... global access, to better serve customer, human resources need, blah blah... they can do that all here...
they became number 1 in the world here, and they can stay being number 1 even here...

and im not gonna switch to iphone 2.0 then... i was planning this july... lol

Well I am sure they will still go to San Antonio for vacation (sorry, doing a happy dance for Downtown Dallas). Maybe the airport here was a big factor.

Everyone in Texas loves San Antone so don't get your dander up at me - I am a fan.

It's San Antonio. And yeah, we're bitter.
