I actually like the cupcakes at heb. They have always been moist and just the right size for me. Well, they would be if I would stop at one of them.

Any other bakeries to recommend that do cupcakes?

I have to agree Lucky! HEB bakery gets a bad wrap, but for the price and the taste its a pretty good deal. (Especially if you are in pinch i.e. cupcakes for school)

I have always had mixed feelings about Lucy's off 90W. I grew up on the cakes there for birthdays, but there were times when I felt they were off. However for my wedding they made the BEST groomesman cake. It not only looked awesome but it tasted fantastic as well. I was truly impressed, unlike my Nadlers wedding cake that was bland, dry, and boring.

We had some cupcakes from HEB the other day at work, and I honestly thought they were better than the ones from Cupcake Junction

The little HEB ones are great! I haven't ever bought the big ones, but the little ones are moist little nuggets of pure greatness. Even the frosting is good.

We grabbed cupcakes from Cupcake Couture last Friday and they were awesome - especially the Chocolate peanut butter! They were moist and the icing was to die for!!!

I only noticed this trend when I went to Dallas, and was taken to Sprinkles Cupcakes. For those who dont know Sprinkles Cupcakes started in Beverly Hills, popular with celebrities, and I had heard about it on TV. But yea my friend took me to the one In Dallas, and there was a crazy long line, and they were good, but it was like 20 something dollars for just 6. Nice packaging, nice store, but its a damn cupcake, I should of started that business lol.

BTW they are gonna open a Sprinkles in Houston on Westheimer (Highland Village)

The lady I talked to about Cupcake Couture called there to price their cupcakes and they are about $20/dz. (she would need about 2 dozen so that would end up kind of pricey)

I picked up some cupcakes from heb last night-chocolate w/ blue frosting. (they had Star Wars rings on them so I justified I got them for the hubby) They were very good but that blue frosting stains everything.

I've always liked HEB's stuff - used to be their cakes weren't all that good, but they've improved quite a bit. And yeah their frosting is magnetic or something, gets on everything!
