They're not real men, that's for sure. I'd call them losers and hopefully any woman would call them the same thing.

then how do you explain why it wasn't there when she came downstairs and magically showed up with lunch? Mine was on the table when my wife came downstairs and the breakfast I was cooking was what woke her up. There's a reason I've been married for almost 23 years

Wait, I don't understand what you just wrote.

You were cooking breakfast and then she showed up magically with lunch, but yours was on the table and the breakfast was cooking and it woke her up??

Brb, gonna finish hookedonphonics (btw what happened to those commercials??)

Either way, sounds like you married a keeper. Congrats!

er. Congrats!
LOL.....I'm glad it worked out, even though I was confused too. Magic lunch before breakfast? I dunno....but it was good for her and that made you happy. All's well with VD 2010.

the lower quote was in response to the upper one.. hiding the receipt would not explain why there was nothing there in the morning. These people out shopping were out this morning and probably didn't get home until lunch time, ergo the magically appearing Valentine's Day gift with lunch.
I was up early to set out what I had purchased well in advance and I also made breakfast, which woke my wife up. And it is me that is the keeper and she is the lucky one.
I can see Jules wasn't the only one that got some whiskey for V Day....

No, but without a receipt, you can hide the fact that you bought the "gift" a mere 5 minutes before she woke up. Imagine this scenario:

"Honey, you bought me flowers! How sweet!"

(pause)

She spies the receipt sticking out of your pocket, grabs it and reads..

"You bought this 5 minutes ago?!...........and...YOU BOUGHT YOURSELF A SNICKERS BAR!!"

*slaps*

Better half ain't a morning person....so I headed for Home Depot, then HEB. Came home, and when she walked in there were 2 dozen roses in a vase, and I was busy cutting fresh strawberries for later. I then cleared one closet wall, an' have spent the day buildin' her a set of shoe shelves with 6 drawers.

Pikers!
