Have you ever had the view that you were the only thing that exists? That everything else around you, everything that you experience, touch, taste, love... is only a figment of your own imagination. In other words, the view that your mind is the only thing that exists.

This is the view of the solipsist. A solipsist is someone that believes they are the only thing that exists and nothing else is real. They are very common. Something like 1 out of 5 people have this view, but they do not know how to define it.

I had a professor in college that was a solipsist. We would often joke that we should take very good care of Mr. Carver because if he goes….we all go!

At the end of the world, would the last person left alive be a solipsist?

Paraphrasing from "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy":

Mouse: We'll give you a new brain and program it so you act exactly as you do now. No one would know the difference.
Arthur: I'D know the difference!
Mouse: No, you wouldn't. You'd be programmed not to.

I have no idea why youngsters try and mess with old men - old men are old school and will throw down. I know, I seen it before - My Grandpa is well into his 70s but has been known to put down a few 20 and 30 year olds in the recent past.

Grumpy old men. You gotta be very very patient with them! For some reason the women don't get so grumpy as they age. Ha I just noticed the KO marker in that animated gif.

He's not a grumpy old man, Nick. That was a dumb young fool, that was "leaking" in the end. One of the best videos I've seen in a long time.

Our grumpiness comes about midway through. Fun stuff, and it is probably one of the causes of the oldman grumpiness you speak of.

I might be willing to testify to that. Hold on a sec.... (Looks over shoulder to make sure the coast is clear).

Okay. I will testify to that.
