Yeah indeed they are. Tornado Warning is in effect for Tom Green County and the strongest rotation looks as if it's going to approach the San Angelo radar

AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO TX
1152 PM CDT WED APR 9 2008

.AVIATION...
A LINE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL SLOWLY BUILD SOUTH INTO
THE EDWARDS PLATEAU AND THEN MOVE ACROSS THE HILL COUNTRY AND
ADJACENT AREAS OF SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS TO THE I-35 CORRIDOR LATE
TONIGHT INTO EARLY THURSDAY MORNING THEN EXIT TO THE EAST OF SOUTH
CENTRAL TEXAS BY MID MORNING. FOR THE TAF SITES, HAVE GONE WITH
TEMPO FROM 09Z TO 13Z AT KAUS, KSAT, AND KSSF, HOWEVER DUE LOWER
CONFIDENCE WHETHER LINE WILL BUILD SOUTH IN TIME WILL ONLY GO WITH
VCTS AT KDRT THROUGH 08Z.
STRONG DOWNDRAFT WINDS, LARGE HAIL, AND
ISOLATED TORNADOES ARE POSSIBLE WITH THESE STORMS. MVFR CIGS WITH
LOCALLY IFR CIGS WILL PREVAIL AHEAD OF THE LINE OF STORMS, THEN
SKIES WILL RAPIDLY IMPROVE TO VFR WITH A FEW CLOUDS AFTER THE LINE
PASSES. S TO SE WINDS OF 10 TO 20 KTS WITH HIGHER GUSTS WILL
PREVAIL, THEN SHIFT TO SW TO W 10 TO 20 KTS WITH HIGHER GUSTS
AFTER THE LINE PASSES.
Basically, the NWS is just as clueless as we are as to what's going to happen with this line. I haven't seen it build much further south in the past hour or so...

As usual just enough rain to make the streets slick for rush hour race time stunt driver events. Not enough for the soil or vegetation to notice.
