I'm looking for a good therapeutic massage therapist (deep muscle and/or trigger point massage) in the 92101 area code. Since I have an old stubborn injury, I'll need to go weekly for months, so am hoping to find an hourly rate of $60 or less, if possible. I've found a few places which have $49 intro offers, so it can't be more convenient to check them out. I still thought I'd solicit feedback.

Has anyone gone to Lotus Sanctuary on W. Washington St (zip code 92103), Spa Velia on W. A St or Massage Envy on 10th & K? Lotus would require a busride & as always, I'm looking for walkability, but... just wanted to let others know they do have a good intro offer... $49 for 1-hr massage + 2-wks of free yoga. Massage Envy is also offering a $49 intro massage. You can check their websites.

Anyone have a good massage therapist at any of these locations or perhaps another? If so, if you'd include their hourly rate, I'd appreciate it, as well. I'm so stiff lately, I had to turn my entire body, complete with lovely facial grimace, to speak to someone behind me in line at Starbucks today... think I frightened the poor lad... he looked rather pale & remorseful he'd bothered me to begin with... I think it's about time I get moving on it!

Thanks very much!

If you don't get a good response here, try searching Yelp.com. Just look for 'massage' in '92101'.

Good luck.

It's not walkable, but it's an easy bus ride, and can save you some bucks:

The mueller college of holistic studies on Park & Madison in University Heights offers student massages for about 1/2 of what you can find elsewhere. They only have the folks who are at the very end of the training process working on the public, so it's not like you're getting someone who doesn't know what they're doing.

Good luck!
