We never did turn on the AC on yesterday. We found as long as we keep the house closed up with windows closed, the house stays pleasantly cool. We opened all the windows last night when the sun went down. Perfect!

LOL. So true Shelby! I lived in Dallas for 8 years so I know what you mean! Those summers are BRUTAL. I'm talking some summers with 45 or 50 days IN A ROW of 100+ degree weather. Just awful.

You go from your air-conditioned house to your air-conditioned car to your air-conditioned office etc. etc.

Yep. Yesterday it didn't get too bad but finally at the end of the day we did turn the AC on and slept with it on as well last night.

The AC was terrific yesterday in the evening. During the day it was fine but all that radiant heat just builds up.

Fast forward to today and its back to normal. Just love sitting out back with the breeze and sun. Perfect.

Compared to the past two days, it was alllll just a dream... lol
At least until Sunday

On Monday I just opened up the doors and windows in the evening, put some fans on, and hung out on the back patio until ten or so when it was cool enough to sleep. I grilled my dinner, ate outside, Watched Mad Men on my ipad out there, and read for a bit. Basically everything I'd have been doing inside on a cool evening**. I absolutely LOVE the balmy nights!

**except for baking. I was going to make a pie but just didn't want to turn the oven on

Ah yeah, when it got to sun down, the weather was really nice. It reminded of the warmer nights and higher humidity in Orlando in the spring...minus the rain

Yeah, ovens certainly dont help on days like that
If you have kitties not too sure they would have dug that either lol

I look forward to opening the sliding door on the balcony to catch the nice breeze that blows into the bedroom, with the scent of those jasmine flowers in the air... ahhhh...

Well, we're back to our normal temps. The high today was 69 degrees, and the low was 61, which is probably around where it will be tonight.

The nice thing is that even though I've had the window open for two days, it's still at 75 degrees. I like this because it likely means that next winter, I will be able to continue my streak of never using heat. =)
