I'm so that glad we have the Tea Party to hold our lawmakers accountable to the Constitution and attempt to get our country on track instead of being run by nanny-state socialists, who are more worried about appeasing to the masses and getting reelected.

Nice sarcasm, metoque.
The Tea Partiers are criminally breaking the constitutional law of this great country and most are rascist. They fail to rememba the Confederacy lost.

Is appeasing to the masses something like following the will of the people? I thought our elected officials were supposed to follow the will of the people. The Constitution, like the Bible, seems to have many different interpretations. That's why the Supreme Court, our ultimate authority on the Constitution, doesn't issue unanimous agreements every time they make a decision.

The will of this person is that this government learns to work together. Not by threatening each other and using the law like a toy with people's jobs at stake.

Really> The Giants and NFL is the best thing we have on this?

Jon Stewart, the idiots idiot. You can always count on Jon Stewart to compare apple to oranges and then claim knowledge. He must laugh all the way to the bank (since he is a 1%er) that so many people run their lives on what he ways.

Good ol Jon makes 16 million a year telling the gullible what to think. I wonder how much of that he "gives back" to the people that sit around waiting for handouts?

This thread is getting ugly. As much as you feel passionate about a political issue, this is not the place for it. Blatantly partisan attacks belong in the Politics and Other Controversies forum such as here: //www.city-data.com/forum/polit...l#post31625229, not in a city-specific forum, and name-calling (yes, that was name-calling) is beyond the pale anywhere. If it is intended as an attempt at humor, use an icon. Thank you to those of you who maintain a civil tone.
