Whose moved here from NJ NY?

Grew up on LI, visit every year. Left NY behind 20 years ago and while I doubt I will retire in CA I'm not heading to NY anytime soon either.

I have lived in a borough of NYC, most of my life. From 1980 to 2007, I did the South, North, West, and East of California, and finally had it down to two places: Santa Barbara and San Diego. I love both places, and came very close to buying a house, however, I could not make the decision. When I was in NYC, I wanted to be in California, specifically in the two cities I mentioned, and when I was in either one of these cities, I longed to be in NYC, so I decided to stay.

I have also done 48 states, out of the 50, including Hawaii, three times. We, my husband and I, will go to a state that we were interested in and do it from the N,S,E,W, and live for a month, (I received then one-and-a-half-months vacation,) in order to learn more about it. We could not break our roots. Now that we are retired, we go to Florida for three month for the winter..... we enjoy it better that way.....
