Canada only has 2 teams + its just a unofficial extension of the US.

Japan vs the US would be a true world series.

Wow, here in Miami our ABC affiliate didn't even mention the Giants Series Win during their prime time broadcast. They rambled on about the Heat ...who cares? It's great that Cody Ross got over the wall and out of here to a town that will appreciate his kind of efforts. Funny, the NLCS and WS MVP's were not wanted here in Miami, good thing we're getting a new stadium... huh???

Man it's totally nuts here in downtown SF. My office building looks right down at Montgomery and Market. I had a lot of trouble just getting into the building this morning!

Saw the parade go by. I saw Sabean, Ross, Lincecum, Affeldt, Bumgarner, Cain (I think) and several others. They were all in those cable car tour buses...kind of a dumb idea because they don't have open roofs, so unless they were hanging out the door on the side you were on, you couldn't see them. Anyway it was fun, the crowds were totally massive. Fortunately I got to see it from 4 floors up...a little harder to see from that high up but at least I wasn't surrounded by massive crowds.

Anybody else check out the ceremony at Civic Center? Here are some of my thoughts:
The SkywalkerSwartz Blog: The Missing Giants Victory Speech

...frankly, whoever was in charge of the sound system should be fired: you could barely make out what people were saying on stage.

When do you suppose the Giants will go to the White House to be honored by the president? Wonder how the Giants will do next season? I'm sure Tim Lincecum is not going anywhere. The Dodgers would sure like getting him in a trade for the McCourts!

Giants should make Linci their franchise player. Trade Zito for a clean up hitter that will give us 40+ HR's.
