This thread is inspired by Nineties Flava, who's posted some great pictures of Oakland on this board that show a whole other side of the city that many people aren't aware of.
I decided to post this set of street view images of what I think are some of the most attractive areas of San Jose. I no longer live in San Jose, but these are some of my favorite places throughout the city. I don't currently have the time or freedom to travel to all these locations to take my own pictures, so it made sense to use the Google images.
There seem to be many people on this forum who are quick to criticize San Jose. Many people have a perception that it's not an aesthetically pleasing city. Having lived for most of my life in the South Bay, I disagree. Also, keep in mind that every one of these images is in San Jose, and not other surrounding cities/towns. Many people on this forum (hsw for example
) say that SJ is a slum and that all the upscale areas in the valley are in surrounding cities like Los Gatos, Saratoga, etc. None of the images here are from any other city.
I posted this in the SF forum because it's just a lot more active than the San Jose forum and most people here tend to jump back and forth between the two forums anyway. Anyways, I hope people enjoy these...

Rose Garden is a fairly amazing hood. Always liked the look. Reminds me of certain old money places I've seen in the Eastern US.

I agree. It's probably my number one choice in SJ if money weren't an issue. Unfortunately, it's a tad bit out of my price range.
