Er, that's very strange. Where were his tears for that poor Vietnamese lady he killed?

Just saying, how annoying.

Just wait...He will be living in Napa State Hospital because he is "mentally ill." The lawyer was already doing the lay up.

Quote:
"He feels terrible," Mandel said about his client following his arraignment hearing this afternoon. "He's obviously got mental health issues."
Several things really bother me about this.

One- this guy is still alive and will be for a very long time.

Two- there is actually a person who will represent him and try to get him off or at least a lesser sentence including sitting in a mental institution that has lax security

Three- I can guarantee this guy should have been locked up a long time ago

Four- the people responsible for allowing this animal to be out of a cell will never be punished for their wrong doing (I think you should be held civilly liable for releasing a criminal ie: judges / parole boards / lawyers etc)

Five- this is only not that uncommon, unfortunately

Oh my, I can go on and on about this...

Well I found an article relating to his criminal history. Shocking, it's a long one.

San Jose man suspected in deadly spree has long criminal history - Inside Bay Area

Please keep voting Democrats into office. It's really working out great. I can't wait until they release the new batch of criminals into the streets shortly. Thank you Jerry Brown.

Honestly the thing that jumped out from the article to me was this:

Quote:
While most kids his age were learning to read and write, Castillo was learning from his mother how to break into houses by squeezing through doggy doors.
This is a perfect example of monkey-see monkey-do. I bet the mother didn't serve any time for the sentences he received as a minor... sad. Too many kids get stuck with crappy parents who lead by their crappy example and the kids grow up to follow. At the very least he should definitely get life with no parole though and probably the death penalty.

I know! It's not like there are all sorts of facts in police investigations and psychologist reports that haven't been released to the public, thank god we have the Oakland Tribune's website to help us make our minds up.

I assume you are mocking me. I guess you're willing to say this guy needs help not a prison sentence right? Just to think, you can vote too.

This is 100% True.

Everything begins at home.

I just found it hilarious that someone is supposedly so hardened could be standing there crying like a baby, and is now on suicide watch...how quickly his bravado and swagger vanished. LOL.

California is a blue state. Blue states believe in rehabilitation not punishment. So we let people who murder plead down to manslaughter and let them free after 6 years. We look the other way when people shoot up or turn tricks. And we let sex offenders off with a slap on the wrist.

Map: Registered Sex Offenders By State : NPR

And then when something like this happens everyone in the hills is just *so shocked*. Jeez how aloof can you get. Seems more like an act of feigned outrage by the OP. Most people are so numb to this stuff already.

Prop 187 isn't exactly rehabilitative.

Thats because it has nothing to do with crime and punishment. It had to do with benefits, and it never really became a law. As soon as it was voted on a judge put a tpo on it, barring it from going into effect until the supreme court could rule on it. At which time it was quickly shot down thrown out of court.
