cupertino 1650 for 585 sq feet. CUPERTINO.
What's so bad about Cupertino?

Describe it to those of us who've never heard of it.

And um, yeah, I wish I would spend $1650 (or anything over $700) for 585 sq. ft.

Well, maybe not about the mice and rats (a NY thing), but you guys DO have roaches. At least, this is what I've read on here when people complain about spending thousands in rent for apartments.

San Francisco has very, very little in the way of insects. Probably less than anywhere. I lived for a year and a half in older, unimpressive apartments and never once saw an insect of any kind. Heat and humidity seems to be their thing, and there ain't much of either in SF.

It's an average suburb basically far from the big city amenities of SF. Good jobs in the area but nothing else special about that place. Tract homes and strip malls. Suburbs in the Bay Area are ridiculously expensive imo, especially the Penninsula.

Also, has one of the best school districts in the region, and there's one big tech company there you might have heard of? Attracts a lot of educated, well paid professionals?

That's why I said there are good jobs in the area, which is the reason why many of the Bay Area's suburbs are so expensive. Aesthetically and amenity wise there is nothing special about Cupertino, certaintly nothing that would cause it to be as pricey as it is.

most people that work in these silicon valley companies dont live in the cities the companies are based in. i know people that work for google, fb and yahoo and they all live in san francisco thanks to the free shuttles they get to n from work.

another example is fremont.

Rent * $1790 - $2405
1 Available
Deposit ** $750
SQFT *** 761

$1790 square feet for a 1 bedroom, 761 sq foot apartment. insane. now that i think about it my rent estimate for cupertino might be lower. its probably like 2k now smh

Fact: There are roaches in S.F.

There were times I felt like I had room-mates and none of 'em helped with the rent. Bastards.

Yeah, the single-and-under-30 crowd does that. The old and settled with kids needing good schools moves to Cupertino.

I haven't seen a roach or any insect in a year. I leave my windows open 24/7 without screens.
