hey, Im 21 year old male student from Galway, Ireland and was wondering dose anyone have any information or could help me out on part time employment and accommodation in San Francisco for the summer of 2013? any hints and tips would be greatly appreciated as im trying to get work before i go if possible!

Just a thought....Medtronic is (was?) a huge employer in Galway when I worked for them. They have an office in Santa Rosa, just north of San Fran. Maybe you could get a job with them ???? I know it's not exactly San Fran, but you might be able to transfer locations when you're ready.

Most people stay in a hostel around Union Square and find jobs and longer term housing through the people they meet there because they were in similar situations.

If you can do some kind of programming, apply with a startup and you should be a shoo-in.
And then they usually fold after about 6 months.

yea as it happens im a 2nd year Electronic & Electrical Engineer and know basic Java, what companies around SF would take me on? That would be a great opportunity! i hear alot of j1ers stay in Berkeley in frat houses? what is more advisable for a group of 6 lads, city or out in Berkeley?
