How to Comute from North Berkly to Soma (Stockton: bus, moving to)

Hi,

I am thinking of moving to the North Berkley area, but my job is in SOMA (Townsend st).

According to Google, it does not look like the BART goes anywhere near Townsend.

Apart from driving, does anyone have any recommendations for doing this journey and how long it should take?

It only takes about 5 (brisk pace) or 10 (ambling pace) minutes to walk from the Montgomery or Powell stations to Townsend. However if one is more lazy than that there are the 30 Stockton bus and Muni Metro. Personally I would walk and save some $$.

Come on, at least be a little bit realistic. It's about 1 full mile from the either the powell or montgomery bart stops down to townsend st. A 5 minute mile would be the pace that a super-fit well conditioned runner could run that distance, and that's assuming timing every stoplight perfectly!

Realistically that walk will take you 15 minutes, 20 minutes if you time the lights badly or actually have to walk a block or two up or down townsend st once you actually get there.
