Hello,

I'm moving in 10 days to Santa Clara and already rented an apartment but I need to contract the utilities before arriving there, but I don't know with which companies. Please can anybody help me telling me the companies?

I need to contract all the utilities:
-Water
-Electricity
-Gas
-Phone and cable

Thanks in advance,

I know that for electricity, Santa Clara has its own utility (i.e., not PG&E).

Silicon Valley Power (http://www.siliconvalleypower.com/ - broken link)

Yup, and for gas service, you'll want to contact PG&E. The City of Santa Clara handles water but your apartment complex will likely handle that for you (they'll include in the rent or they'll tack it onto the rent). You can get combined phone and cable service through Comcast.

I believe Qwest Commuincations handles the phones for the West Coast.

You can also 'google' Santa Clara utilities., i.e. Santa Clara Public Water

AT&T in my area, Verizon at my folks' place in Morgan Hill. Comcast is an option all over the BA as well.
