My wife and I are coming down for a week in April and I'd like to rent a couple of kayaks and see some of the landscape from the water. Can anyone recommend a nice place/area to do this? We will be staying in Warm Mineral Springs.

I would highly recommend the mangrove tunnels at Lido Key. There are numerous kayak rental places on 41 (Tamiami Trl) in Venice, Osprey, Sarasota and most have guided trips available.

Now we're coming out of season check out Groupon, I went on a kayak tour last year and it was a 2 for 1. Robin hood rentals on siesta key rent kayaks. Also I believe Mote Marine offer guided kayak tours. Have fun!
