Very nice postcard of Lido area. Makes me homesick for Sarasota. Unfortunately, even with dropping prices, housing prices keeps us from moving back, as one also has to figure in homeowner's and taxes in monthly home expenses.

SunshineGirl, that is the kicker - those taxes and insurance. Even on a relatively "inexpensive" home, they are very high, IMO. One reason we live inland.

Sarasota is an pretty good place to live. I left though, and there were many good reasons to leave too, IMO. Lots of well paying healthcare jobs there though.
