We are moving to Venice in the next few months. The house we bought needs a kitchen. Can anyone recommend a company that does quartz countertops? Thanks.

Who would build a house without a kitchen?

Thanks everyone. We will be checking out Sunshine. They have good reviews too. Hope the cost isn't too shocking.

Price check against Home Depot. They contract out the labor. Sell materials at market plus a reasonable mark up. Not saying to buy from them. Just saying you can validate you are not being ripped off.

I agree. Not saying to buy from them. Just saying it is good for a price check. Many of their brands are national brands sold and installed by independents. If HD is selling Cambria or Stonework for $90, don't pay $200 to an independent. Negotiate.

Season is in full swing. You may be looking at long wait times for installation.

I'd start calling places now.

My suggestion would be to decide on a pattern/product you like and then see if there are remnants in that pattern that can be cut to work for your counters…
I found when we redid our bathrooms that places selling stone or quartz were very reluctant to quote you a price per sq ft—unlike stone suppliers in Dallas when we redid a house in the DFW area
Any place we went had prices posted or you could ask—so then the fabricator just quoted you on the labor/install costs…
Here the suppliers would only sell to a contractor/fabricator so they only quoted prices to those people
Lowes/Home Depot might quote you a price but I didn’t find any of their products appealed to me

Doing it that way put the contractor in better spot to know pricing than you so makes it difficult to compare labor vs product

And we went to several suppliers in Sarasota and Venice area — live in Nokomis

Our master bath required more product because we had 5 ft vanity in one piece and another countertop plus window ledge
And they did the top/side of half wall in shower and the threshold vs having those tiled

Our guest/front bath needed a 48” countertop but we had a window ledge, higher backsplash cut from same piece in book fashion, the top of a seat at the back of the tub/shower. And two shelves in shower niches…—all from a remnant—and it looks great…

I wish the person doing our reno in master bath had suggested we look at remnant vs solid slab
We would have saved money but she didn’t really care about us saving money…
