Pair of Sarasota bagel shops reopen under new brand

https://www.businessobserverfl.com/n...der-new-brand/

Two former Brooklyn Bagel & Deli shops in Sarasota have rebranded as Buddy's.

To celebrate the change in the New York-inspired eateries, Buddy's is hosting a grand opening at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11 at the 999 Cattlemen Road location. The celebration will feature music, bagel samples and what are described as "enticing return-visit" incentives.

The stores are part of HSK Industries, a Sarasota-based business conglomerate that includes Florida Design Works, Kirkplan Kitchen & Bath and a ski resort and golf club in New Jersey, among other holdings. Brothers David and Jeffrey Koffman own HSK.

Looking for a slice of pizza? How restaurant owner found a new spot in Bradenton Beach

For full article:

A slice of pizza and a day at the beach, What could be better?

Wilder’s Slice of AMI is now serving at 103 Gulf Drive N. in Bradenton Beach. The restaurant’s Nov. 4 opening came with little fanfare, but with a whole lot of notice on social media.

“It’s gone crazy,” Ryan Wilder said of the instant success of the new pizzeria on Anna Maria Island.

The buzz over Wilder’s Slice of AMI has also helped drive more business to Wilder’s Pizza, the restaurant that Wilder and his wife, Erin, opened in 2021 at 827 14th St. W. in Bradenton.

Wilder’s Slice of AMI is in a space once occupied by Tahini Beach Cafe and The French Table.

Next door is Island Scoops, an ice cream shop owned by Walter Loos, who also owns Island Donut Company, around the corner at 110 Bridge St.

Guests at Wilder’s Slice of AMI, 103 Gulf Drive N., Bradenton Beach, may sit inside the dining room or take advantage of sidewalk seating facing onto beach dunes and the Gulf of Mexico.

One of the best new local restaurants to open more Sarasota area locations

The Greyson sports bar restaurant in Palmetto to open new location in Lakewood Ranch & Sarasota

For full article:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/travel/art...dab5ad3b&ei=50

The Greyson began welcoming guests in May at its original location north of Palmetto. Situated at 5045 96th St. E., near Interstate 75 and Moccasin Wallow Road, Greyson is smack dab in the middle of a major building boom in Manatee County.

Located in a modern strip mall near Corporate Ladder Brewing Company, The Greyson is a semi-upscale, family-friendly sports bar with a full-liquor bar, indoor dining, and a covered patio. From every vantage point, you can easily see multiple televisions. When I finally visited for the first time, on Sunday, Oct. 29, each screen had a printout beneath it indicating which NFL football game would be shown and when. For those of us who are sports fans, this is a nice feature.

The principal proprietors of The Greyson include Russell Matthes, a Sarasota native who is best known for his previous co-ownership of the local Daiquiri Deck restaurants. He parted ways with the company a couple of years ago and subsequently engaged in a legal battle to determine his $3.294 million share.

While co-owner of Daiquiri Deck, Matthes opened and managed five restaurant locations. He has equally ambitious plans for Greyson, starting with the introduction of items such as the Greyson Dry-Aged Grass Fed Burger ($18), the equally impressive Greyson Chicken Ranch sandwich, and surprisingly fresh and delicious Mahi bites ($13.50) to Lakewood Ranch. The new Greyson will take over the space previously occupied by Truman's Tap & Grill, which was there for more than a decade before closing on August 31. It's situated in the Lakewood Walk shopping plaza at 11161 State Road 70 E.

"The goal is (to open) the beginning of next year," Matthes said via text. "We are doing a complete remodel at the Lakewood Ranch location to emulate the current location."

The Greyson sports bar restaurant in Palmetto also plans to open new location in Sarasota

Matthes said his team also aims to open another Greyson location in Sarasota's Fruitville area. Each restaurant will offer the same food and drink menu, along with a similar setting that includes both indoor and outdoor dining, mirroring the original Greyson in Palmetto. "We are also looking at other locations and opportunities as well," Matthes wrote in a text.

In most cases, the deals are extended beyond veterans to active members of the military and to their spouses and families in some cases. Most require some type of proof of military service, such as a military ID card or a Veterans Administration benefits card.

As curated from Military.com, a news and resource website for members of the military and veterans, deals in Florida include:
