....now back to Manatee County:

"Suncoast Guy" reported:

-Carjackings on 75th Street West (A Good Part of Bradenton!!)
-Purse Snatching at Walmart Parking Lot
-Gang Related Shootings (Homicides and Such)
-Non-Gang Related Shootings (Homicides and Such)

Just this past weekend, a 70-something year old man was held up at gunpoint in his OWN driveway, west of 34th St. W. After giving the scumbag his wallet, the creep shot out a window on the elderly man's car. Also, not one, but (2) different ice cream vendors were robbed. What's next, little kids gonna get jacked for their ice cream too!?

Sarasota County has had a few more incidents than normal lately, but Manatee County is OUT OF CONTROL! Unfortunately, I think we are witnessing our very own streets and neighborhoods more closely resembling those of third world countries. It's a shame, because when I was younger, crime didn't seem as prevalent as it is today (and I'm only 49).

Yes, I agree. Manatee County is WAY OUT OF CONTROL, and I don't know why?!?! It is very sad and unfortunate and until the police force starts patrolling the streets more DAY AND NIGHT, I don't know that it's going to get any better.

"A man who was shot in the head during an ambush became Manatee County’s 17th homicide — the latest victim in a pace that may set a record for homicides in one year here."

It does not look good at all for Bradenton.
