I have a flight arriving 9:20am, AKA "Delayed" on Monday to Savannah. Not going to happen so I have a Amtrak 15 hour trip on Wed. arriving 9PM. Hope the blowing is gone by then. BTW you can buy an Amtrak ticket with cancellation insurance for only $17.00. Trying to cover all the bases but I see no hope for planes for a couple of days after the storm.

Isn't Savannah under a mandatory evacuation order now?

Latest track from the NHC now has Irma making landfall south of Savannah, instead of over Savannah.

Not out of the woods, but according to this model, that's a bit of sigh of relief for Savannah and Hilton Head. Don't take it as absolute, that's just one guesstimate, but it's at least better than before.

The latest Euro model is good for us, terrible for Florida. On track to hit Miami at CAT5, then be CAT 1 when it gets to us.

Yes, I love that latest model, too: Cat 1 like Hurricane David in 1979. My parents were still alive and hunkered down in the den. The magnolia swayed in the howling wind, they said, but other than tree limbs down, Savannah got through it well. Hope it's like that with Irma. Fingers crossed.

2:00 is the arrival time on Monday afternoon, High tide is 1:07. So let's hope it's not a Cat 3 or bigger...

This'll be like Matthew, but lighter. Passing overland to the west. Savannah will come out fine.

I wish I knew for sure. I do not want to get in that traffic tomorrow.
