As tech improves, we might have the option of replacing bio parts with tech parts. Would you partake?

Upgrade your memory? Super muscles? Extendo-wiener?

Where would you draw the line?

When would someone stop being human?

When one no longer has control of voluntary activities. For example, artifical heart, eyes, lung, kidney, are involuntary functions, and if they are driven by mechanical controls, one is still human. But if a mechanical device controls (not merely assists) voluntary functions, like changing channels, baking a cake, or running with scissors, then the organism has stopped being human. The "human" is the part that makes the decisions about voluntary functions.

At my age (72), I doubt if I would avail myself of any cyber pieces, but if I were much younger, I'd probably feel different about it.

Where does the soul exist in the body? You answer that and you'll have your cyborg answer.

Thus far, mine haven't.

I can't say the same for the tech in my life. Cars, cell phones, etc.
