I don't mind clouds but that IS pretty awesome. I'm ready for some basketball on Saturday when it's 50.

This is nothing. I moved here from D.C. and their lows are hitting the mid to low 20s at night and 30 during the day for the next week. It's going to be 50 here on Saturday!

It is a brilliantly beautiful day here today! It's like spring out there!

And what a nice change from yesterday, when I was surrounded by a cold, dreary fog all day and my temperature never got above 34.

Right now, it's about 47-48 and the snow is finally melting - including off the roof of my house, making kind of a drippy mess. Awesome!

When I got up this morning, the temperature was around 27 degrees, a big improvement over the 20 degrees that I've had each morning ever since this cold weather started.

I had to open a window a little while ago because it was too warm in the house.

If I can believe Weather Underground (and I'm not sure I can), I'm supposed to get a chance of snow for a couple of days next week and then they're saying possible thunderstorms for two days after that. We'll see, I guess.

I'm sorry.

Had that here yesterday and it was not pleasant.

Nice evening here, though - I just got home from having to go get my son and it was a nice dry night for a drive, although I did run into a few pockets of pretty dense fog.

It's still about 38 degrees.

36F here and... STILL foggy! If we got your fog from yesterday today, maybe we'll get your sun from today, tomorrow.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Weird, though, because even as warm as it got today, and as drippy as it seemed to be, I still have snow. Not a lot but it's still there, mostly in the spots that get the least sun.

That usually seems to be the case. Areas of low sunlight usually seem to support patches of snow for days beyond areas not so shaded.

I went into the feed store in the little town just to the east of me today. There is a hill directly to the south of the store and I swear they don't get any sun - at all - for a good two months or more out of the year. They just sit there in the shade of that hill until the sun starts to rise in the sky and can get over the top of it.

When I left my house, I was enjoying the warmth from the sun but I got to the store and froze my you-know-what off. And I never seem to learn - since the sun was shining here, I forgot and left without my coat.
