I have taken great care to calculate exactly how much sunlight difference between Seattle, and Los Angeles.

In short:

Seattle gets 56.2% Less Sunlight Than Los Angeles.
Los Angeles gets 228.3% More Sunlight Than Seattle.

Please see my thread which includes a detailed Excel sheet that I made citing all the calculations and sources.

Not true. Around the winter solstice, the sun rises at 7:55 am and sets at 4:20 pm. Not sure where you obtained your data. The earliest the sun sets is at 4:17 pm.

Who is denying the fact that Los Angeles receives more sun than Seattle? Not sure of your point. Simple research quickly pulls up that information.

Sorry man, but Im a HUGE defender of Seattle, but unless you are at 30K ft, you don't get sunshine 4 hours a day, unless its summertime.

Yep, I agree, because Seattle gets basically no sunlight. It really sucks.

There is something called Reverse Sad.

SAD in the summer? Sunshine depression rare, but real - NBC News.com

I recall that at least one person that has it has posted about it earlier in the thread.

My wife and son feel the same way, so I think its higher than 1 percent as the article mentions. I have lived here (Gilbert AZ) for 5 years and we get about 330 days of sunshine a year, thats over 1600 days of sun. When I lived in the PNW we only got about 90 days a year.
