What about vegan pies? My husband got a good one in the U-district, but just wondering if anyone's been blown away by anything around town.

I like the topings at Pizza Pi, but not the crust.
World Pizza in Chinatown is vegetarian, and mostly vegan( you can get pizza there with both dairy and non dairy cheese.)
I like them better than Pizza Pi. Better crust, and a cooler space. And how can you not like the idea of a pizza place in Chinatown?

My hubby is from Chicago and this is a great idea for his birthday. In the past (talking early 90s) when we had family come in town, they usually were bringing in coolers with deep dish Pizza and Leon's bbq. Now if only I could find someplace that still sold pimp oil for his truck.........ahhhh good times....

Best Seattle pizza:

The Pizza Bank - Kirkland - north of Totem Lake
Pegasus - various locations, have only eaten at the one in Renton at the top of the hill

Check if still open. The Pizza Bank, called so because it was a bank converted into a restaurant, was especially good.

The Pegasus in Renton is gone, and has become an Amante. I like their pastas and salads, but their pizza is pretty bad.

Had one slice of pizza at Ballroom in Fremont today. Largest slice of pizza I have ever seen for a very reasonable $5. Excellent taste too. None of the insane crowds of Friday or Saturday evenings so I will be here a lot this summer.

Looking forward to the new Tutta Bella in Crossroads, Bellevue.

Delancey's in Ballard has the best pizza I've ever had. The sausage is incredible.

I am from the east coast and I know pizza....and yes most the pizza in Seattle basically stinks....Pagliacci's is ok...and edible..as was as Mad Pizza, Zeeks, and Piecoras and Tutta Bellas....from they are fall far short of anything you would find in NYC...Chicago or Philly. I know where the best pizzas places are....and they are....drum roll......

1) Napoli Pizzeria Ristorante.....

8600 14th Ave S Seattle, WA 98108
(206) 768-9615

2) Number 1 New York Pizza

17809 Washington 9 Snohomish, WA 98296
(360) 668-7282

3) Brooklyn Bros Pizzeria

1919 Hewitt Ave Everett, WA 98201
(425) 258-6900

It amazes me how hardly anyone I ever met when I lived in Seattle...never knew these three places......they are ten times better than Pagliacci's.....Piecora's....Zeeks..and etc....if....you like real NY style pizza....they are the very best anywhere in Western WA and in the Seattle area and outskirts imo.

No you don't, NY Pizza stinks

Pizzeria 22 is the only Seattle Pizzeria recognized by the L’Association Verace Pizza Napolentana or "True Neapolitan Pizza."

According to Yelp, Phoenecia is probably the best Pizza in the Seattle area. (4.5 stars with 156 reviews.)

I can see why your places are "unknown" to Seattlites though, two are not in city limits.
