Things are definitely different here, and I've found the biggest key to success in engaging with women in Seattle--even if it's just casual conversation--is to avoid being so aggressive. Don't be intense or predictable with your approach, and instead try to be clever. Most importantly, be genuine

Regardless of what OP says it's 100% about attractiveness, 20% of men get 80% of women. If you're not 8/10 and 6'2"+ it's over (serious).

Seattle women are seeking articulate, intelligent, educated, environmentally conscious, well-travelled, well-rounded men. In essence, guys with character, depth and personality.

That's not at all what I observed in Seattle. It depends more on personality. If you're the bubbly type, women will flock around you, even if you're only 5' tall. That's probably why the techie crowd complains so much; they're notorious for having poor social skills, if any.

CMSwazey, what if a man has more the tendency to grab the breasts and elbow the butts?? Do you think you can still give him a chance?
