You don't need freezing weather to get hypothermia.
Fall into Puget Sound any time of the year and you'll be dead in twenty minutes

I used ta swim in Puget Sound in north Edmonds. Each swim was probably no longer than 20 minutes - that water was very, very cold to my body.

It’s also extremely difficult to be t hypothermia in 50+ weather, which all of the cities discussed here (except maybe Chicago) see for 8+ months out of the year. That’s my point.

Let’s stop the dramatics.

At least they're not still trying to say Seattle is more expensive than NYC... lol

Yes you are correct. I was confused about people going into the back country, not going from their heated car to their heated condo.

Can't, I find the pressure of having to leave the North side of Puget Sound by 130pm to beat Southbound traffic a big old burden. By the time you get anywhere in the area you are half beaten down by driving stress. Like I said it in another thread if half the people LEFT Seattle it would be awesome.

My exit out of Seattle has been delayed, of course I want to be part of the solution to this mess by leaving. Its good for Everyone.

Just Monday I had the unfortunate need to drive from Ballard to home in Sammamish at 4:00, a distance of about 25 miles that takes 35 minutes without traffic. Thanks in part to the Seahawks game it took an hour and 45 minutes. While I would normally avoid such a stressful experience, it does happen at times. Still well worth living in this area. If half the people left, there would be no need for as many jobs for the people left.
Growing the population grows the economy with more demand for products and services.

Where are we going to place any more people . This area is bursting from the seams. Normally I would agree 100% with you but people are getting pushed out from the city south to Olympia & north to Burlington to be able to work / live in the area and with the geographical constraints and the housing costs ? I mean we can't move the mountain range over 100 miles nor the sound . I have lived in huge cities , Houston , LA, Dallas , and never felt this cramped and hemmed in . I cannot imagine what it will be like in 5 more years . In one year the traffic here in the south sound starts slowing to a crawl now at JBLM When it was not like that last year .

NOT saying I know the answer at all just that we are packed to the gills with people . Region wide.

The solution to King County's overpopulation is Pierce County.
