Lots of options. Look at Ivar's Salmon House on Lake Union. Both skyline and water.

Can't do much better than the Seattle classic Ray's Boathouse at Shilshole (West Ballard). They have fancier but approachable dining at the Boathouse and more casual/low key at Ray's Cafe, same place. Here is the link, sunsets mind-blowing: https://www.rays.com/cafe/

There are also a couple of Anthony's Home Ports with great water views. The Edgewater in Elliot Bay. Love Ray's Boathouse. All these places get very crowded, so I recommend reservations. Oh, one more....can't think of the name....it is on the boat canal.

Ivar’s Salmon House? Yes, great views, also Chinooks at Fishermen’s Terminal, one of the Anthony’s family. The view is of the working fishing fleet.

Google any of these and you will find pictures.

The Athenian and Lowell's in the Market have great views of Elliott Bay and the Viaduct teardown. For the Athenian ask for a view table.

Take the water taxi to West Seattle and eat at Marination Mai Kai!

We checked out the progress on the viaduct teardown today. What a difference already, it's going to be so much prettier and quieter along the waterfront. We ate at Honest Biscuits which has moved to the new section of Pike Place Market, and there or the adjacent Old Stove Brewery are other suggestions I would offer for a nice view.

This is the one. It is also suggested by DS and by a returning Redmond traveler, who has a daughter in WS Seattle. Pike was crowded even after the 5 p.m. closing. Seattle's summer is here
