There is a highly effective Ebola vaccine which was used in the 2014-16 outbreak in Guinea. It is now recommended for people working on the virus in labs.

Masks protect the people around you. They're just blockers of your spit. (The tiny droplets that we don't notice, which is how this type of virus spreads.)
