It all comes down to two elements. Can pitching continue to be stable and effective? And can hitters present their best at the plate? I know this sounds simple, but more difficult than most know, as you need both to continue to a playoff. I think this team has this package.

Anything less than a wildcard will be a disappointment.

PNW, you know the Seattle sports teams unofficial “don’t jinx it” rule. Only talk about them now and then, don’t be too enthusiastic and keep your voice low .

Doesn’t really matter. I can be enthused but have no control of what happens. But in all honesty this team seems different.

I agree that there is a vibe with this team, and hope you know I was jesting. We have suffered for too long though, it easy to develop superstitions .

46 years with little to show. I am an optimist but always seem to be let down by this team. Will they ever get into the World Series? I don’t know but again hope is eternal.

Yes, and someone needs to tell Dave Sims that, he jinxes the M's more often than anyone else.

Yeah, my Atlanta Hawks haven't won an NBA championship in 63 seasons now, and never have in the 53 seasons while in Atlanta. And don't even get me started about my frustrating Falcons. Somehow, the fans still stick around.

Obviously, my main MLB team (Braves) are the current World Series champions (yay), so that's a great feeling. However I am definitely fond of these scrappy Mariners as my American League team/ west coast team/ adopted home team. Enjoyed going to a game last year.

In addition to the 11-game streak, these red hot Mariners are 19-3 since June 19. Incredibly hot team, they're obviously clicking. Of course, it helps when you're not playing the Astros and Yankees, who seem to dominate the AL.

Great to see the Mariners Doing Well this year. Keep it up. Good luck after the all-Star game. The pause usually as a negative impact and a team may go into a tail spin. I hope not and they keep on this good run!!
