Hi Folks.
Some will talk about fake jobs, other will argue the opposite but how do you explain these numbers about Seattle area jobs in High Tech vs Accounting? The weird thing that I noticed is some Network and Systems jobs (the same!) are there since 2008. Will those employers argue that there are no qualified candidates? Where did graduates from UW and other schools go?

This is only a guess, but when WAMU collapsed in the last couple of years, it flooded the market with job seekers. I wonder if a good number of them were accountants. Consequently, a large pool of job seeking accountants will ensure that there are not many open positions for very long.

Looking again at the jobs you are posting, they are all finance related, and that sector has been hit hard by this recession so it make sense there are so few jobs.

The high tech folks are probably writing the software that is putting the auditors and accountants out of business.
