I just don't know that Walgreens would sell drugs that are from another country without hiking the price considerably.
Do you know any mail order pharmacies that sell legitimate out of the country drugs?
Generic drugs are almost all imported from India or Asia that's why they are so cheap. If you don't like the price at Walgreens shop around for another pharmacy near you.
As far as online drugs goes...........that's a huge NO! DON'T GO THERE!
Now there are way to order from name brands pharmacies online but stay away from the off brand no name sites.
I may have missed where it was posted, but could someone point out the evidence that drugs can indeed become 'deadly' after the expiration date?
As to buying drugs over the internet,it is easy, cheap and requires no prescription because....in a LOT of other nations drugs that are prescription only here are OTC.
I find the fearmongering re: drugs bought over the internet funny...why the trust in what the drug companies HERE in the USA tell you???
Especially considering how much they hike the prices of drugs here compared to overseas...

Especially considering how much they hike the prices of drugs here compared to overseas... It's called business for profit.
I'm in San Diego, and just walk across the border to Tijuana to buy medication. I went across the border in October to buy Amoxicillin. The pharmacies are different prices, so I went with the one that sold me two bottles each of 60 500mg caplets for $17.50.

I don't have a link or any "evidence" but this is what a pharmacist told me---be very careful with expired tylenol, or any drug containing tylenol. When it get old, tylenol can cause kidney and liver damage. Problem is, is hard to tell expired tylenol except by the expiration date on the bottle---the medicine itself doesn't mainifest any outward changes, still looks, smells, and tastes the same.
Asprin, on the other hand, does develop a distinct vinegar odor when old, and crumbles.
How are you stocking up or preparing for your prescription medicine needs?
Here's a few tricks I've used to get a few extra doses
fill the rx at one pharmacy and use your insurance. Then call your doc and claim you lost the rx, could they call in another/ Have it called in to another pharmacy, and pay out-of-pocket. That way you have double dose to save for later, even though you had to pay for one. doctors are increasingly reluctant to prescribe antibiotics, making them hard to stockpile. Note: DON'T do this with narcotics, you could wind up with a drug charge!
Check your insurance, many offer a one-time refill for lost or spilled drugs. Use this option to get another refill of your most expensive drug (note, this is a very limited option, usually insurance will allow 1-2 such refills/year, but might as well get them)
Look up the maximum dose for your rx, if you're not taking that, ask your doc to prescribe the maximum dose and stockpile the rest
Keep all rx in the original containers, don't trust your memory for drug name, date, and dose.
Check your insurance for refill dates. Many allow a one-month rx to be refilled at 3 weeks. That way you can get an overlap, keep it going.
One word of caution to anybody that takes antibiotics on a frequent basis. When a person takes an antibiotic, it kills all the bugs that particular antibiotic can kill within the body. If taken very frequently, the bugs start getting "smart" and the antibiotic can no longer kill that particular bug. When this happens, the bug becomes a "superbug". The reason doctors don't want to hand out prescriptions for antibiotics anymore, is that many new superbugs have surfaced that have infected very vulnerable people with weak immune systems (that might not even be the ones who were using the antibiotics on a frequent basis) . When this happens, the superbug is capable of never going away, giving the patient a chronic illness, or even killing them. So be careful with any antibiotics you use frequently.

I've found a much more honorable and honest way to ensure that I have a plentiful supply of my meds. I ask my doctor to double up all my meds but I will still take them as he told me to. Since my doctor and I go way, way back he writes the script as I want and I take the meds the way he wants.
Getting meds by dishonest means is never as good way to go about it.
