I know UPS does NOT hire illegals. Who are you complaining to? If you make the complaint to Amazon or whoever you bought the product from, you may get more traction than speaking to a "call center" located in a different country. If you're buying something Amazon Prime you're not paying for shipping.
Yes they do I finally caught the UPS driver the other day becasue I was outside when he came, who had been leaving my packages out in the rain without a bag or even ringing the doorbell even after 3 complaints against him, and it was some mexican immigrant. UPS is a joke of a company they don't even take complaints seriously and take ZERO action. They are too cheap to pay for plastic bags to put over boxes in the rain, they told me they don't supply bags or ask drivers to use them. USPS always put bags over my boxes in the rain and are cheaper than UPS and come on Saturdays.
Interesting that for many of users here the USPS will not leave items at their front door if they don't fit inside the parcel locker, considering I just purchased a pink comforter that the USPS dropped off right at our front door.
Perhaps the USPS will drop off packages at the front door in ZIP codes with lower package theft rates.
I live in a very safe area. FedEx and UPS have no problem with leaving packages, and I've never once had any issues with them doing so. I just think USPS doesn't want to get out of their truck to walk something to the front door.
It might also be a way to save money during certain times of the year by not having to pay overtime. My parents sometimes don't get there mail until 8-9 o'clock at night in December because their mail man is taking packages to everyone's front door. Normally their mail comes around 4pm.

Why do people immediately think it's some "mexican" immigrant because they are Hispanic?. Maybe he just doesn't speak English well. Latin America covers Central America and most of South America, plus Puerto Rico and a lot of the islands.
I worked for UPS at one time. Everyone had to supply an I-9 form. Also drivers have to have a driver's license. Illegal immigrants can't get driver's licenses, they also all have DOT physicals.
As far as ringing doorbells, they don't really have to. They are under tremendous pressure to make the deliveries in a certain time period.
Again who are, you complaining to? If you call the 800 number you end up talking to someone in a call center who just fills out a form that gets kicked up the line. Either call Amazon or whoever you purchased it from. If it's ruined by the rain, Amazon will replace it. Or get the number for the local UPS building where your delivery come from.
I had a problem with FedEx and where they were leaving packages, I kept sending them emails, they'd always reply that they wanted a phone number. No one ever called m but the problem stopped.
I've had bad experiences with USP drivers, FedEx drivers, USPS, Lasership, etc. Probably the most trouble with USPS not ringing the bell when a signature is needed, just leaving a "sorry we missed you" notice. I'd call the local postmaster, usually the problem seems to be someone who's not the regular delivery person. They are either not familiar with the area, or it seems, just too lazy.

All of our USPS drivers bring packages to our front door as does UPS.

I called the local UPS office, and the 1800 number. They do not care. Is it that hard to understand?
Mmmm. Something new? USPS just delivered a Amazon package today (Sunday) and I'm in a rural area fwiw.
Amazon is expanding the areas that it offers Sunday delivery. Amazon has an exclusive deal with the USPS for Sunday deliveries, which is why you will never get Prime packages shipped using UPS or FedEx on Sundays.

Have had Fedex Saturday deliveries as the norm from Amazon for years.

USPS letter carrier checking in. The official policy is that if the sender releases the piece we leave it, even if I think the area is not safe as my judgment doesn't matter due to those who don't deliver. Why don't they deliver? To try to gain market share the service accepts parcels beyond the capability of its often senior citizen workforce to handle and when that carriers ask for help he is told we have no available help to give you so it is scanned as attempted right there in the office as the GPS lock on the scan will prove and the customer receives the peach notice in their mailbox .
After reading similar threads for the past 15 years, all carriers USPS , UPS, FedEx and the smaller ones get the customer complaints and wishing for any service except them. With people getting toilet paper delivered now the industry is just overwhelmed with work

Saturdays yes, but not on Sundays. The USPS is Amazon's sole carrier for Sunday deliveries, with the possible exception of Amazon Logistics (the white vans).
