Hi, we should finally be moving at the end of May. I was looking at houses online. We were looking in the $200,000 range. But, I found a home for $155,000 in dogwood park that is a little older but I love it. Just wondering why its so cheap. Is that neigborhood no good?

Dogwood Park is a very decent neighborhood... the lower price of the homes is only due to the age of the subdivision. You'll love it there. I also live in Haughton, but much further out than Dogwood. Dogwood residents are in the Stockwell/Cope/Airline school district rather than the Haughton school district so I think you'll be pleased. I don't understand why Dogwood isn't considered part of Bossier City because the actual town of Haughton, where I live, is 5-10 miles further out.

SBC, thanks for the fast reply. I looked it up on google maps. The only thing we don't like about it, is there is no place to park our travel trailer.

Some subdivisions hae restrictions on that type of thing anyway, so it's always a good idea to check and see if the subdivisions you're looking at have a HOA (home owner's association) and what the rules are. Dogwood, I do not believe has a HOA. The newer Dogwood South area, with homes in the $200,000-$300,000 range likely does have rules against travel trailers. Most older neighborhoods will likely be fine with it.

Sounds like what you're needing is a home with a double driveway or something. Keep looking, you'll find something.
