Seattle 6-2 Columbus

Quite happy that i stayed up to watch that, what a game!
Jeff Cunningham now holds the record for MLS goals on 134.

Chivas 0-1 RSL
Very happy with that result after their recent run and getting the win despite a red card in the 21st.

SKC has now dropped 12 points this season in the dying minutes of the game. Those 12 points would put them in the Supporter's Shield race with the 2nd best record in the league. Regardless, we have only lost 2 games in the last 20 and both those losses came on stoppage time goals in the dying minutes. If it werent for those two last second goals, we would be riding a 20 game unbeaten streak.

LA comes to town Labor Day, it should be a good match between what may be the two best teams in the league right now.

The defending looked poor against FC Dallas the other week. Shea was not closed down quick enough and they scored twice from his crosses. I only caught the end of that game and haven't seen enough SKC games to judge them over the whole season.

We should get Collin back this weekend against LA which will help as he is our best defender. Our defending has been pretty solid for the most part. Our biggest defensive breakdowns in our current streak have come late in games against Dallas and Seattle where we gave up goals to lose. Vermes is a very poor game manager and just has not figured out who to sub and when to do it.

Why doesn't the US combine their leagues with the Mexicans?

Good try with the bait but politics, economics, and geographics make that a near impossibility. It just isnt feasible. However, I wouldnt mind more partnerships between the two in competitions and developing players.
