Chile and Germany seem the strongest. My money is on Chile. They're hungry for more trophies and have incredible skill as a team. Their execution has been a bit wobbly but if you watch their play-making they have the potential to be world champs.
2nd best team in South America after Brazil right now in my opinion.
The outcomes will heavily depend on whether each team will bring their first row roster or not, but I can see Germany, Portugal and Russia doing well. Not so sure about Mexico and Chile.
Chile not doing well? They're the favorites. Although to be fair they have great plays but have been having trouble as of late to execute well and play with newer younger less talented players.

Well Germany are the champs. Their young team is really good. As for the final, I think that Chile played better overall but Germany was clinical and patient. That mistake cost Chile the game and left them in shambles for a good part of the game. They lost momentum for a good long while. Germany deserved the win for remaining steadfast and didn't lose resolve. Chile lost their ****, second half but their gameplay was amazing, terrible at finishing though.
All in all, people are giving Chile crap for playing dirty but ignoring the time wasting and the scuffle Kimmich started by shoving Bravo, which in the end was all blamed on Vidal for some reason. Emre Can was just a grade A douche for hogging the ball like that.
Chile could be contenders for semi-finalists in the World Cup, but I am not going to place my money on them actually winning the tournament with the Germans, the French or the Brazilians and their teams. Argentina have Sampaoli now who made Chile what they are now. So Chile might have to settle for a Round of 8 loss or possibly a fourth place against France. Those are my predictions.
