I don't think you can say this post is specifically related to population growth in SC. Nobody scolded you for it. Most people posting on this SC population growth topic were talking about what is Mount Pleasant's town center. Sometimes conversations drift into other topics.

Lmao...this is an epic fail on your part. I merely interjected once in this rather tangential side discussion between two other posters whereas you're the one largely responsible for taking the discussion in the SC month-to-month employment statistics thread off track and keeping it there with assertions about downtown Charleston and King Street that sillier and sillier. Do you even know what the point you're trying to make is anymore?
Wow.. surprised that York or Lexington are not on here
If they used raw numbers they probably would be. That's why I don't really like using percentages. I mean, McCormick is on there for adding 200 people. Lol. My folks are from McCormick and trust me., it's dead.

Very true. The raw numbers are a better barometer than the percentage. Adding 200 people to a town in the middle of nowhere is hardly a population boom.
I think both raw numbers and percentages are important for places that have reached a certain size. But just as important in the case of counties is why they’re growing. In almost all cases of significant growth, it’s because part(s) of the county is within developed areas within MSA’s. A significant part of Berkeley County’s population growth, for instance, occurred within the Charleston city limits, taking away from Charleston County’s population growth numbers.

nah the Cainhoy area is growing rather slowly, at least compared to Cane Bay/Nexton

Post and Courier Nov. 2023: According to population estimates, 8,100 Daniel Island and Cainhoy residents in 2010 ballooned to 22,000 last year, which is expected to double by 2040.

So 14k people over 13 years? It's not nothing but it's about 15%~ of Berkely county's population increase in that time.
