Th measure has a lot of parts to it, which is a big factor for why I'm concerned that voters might vote on the issue without knowing what it is.

Jammie, the part you were told is correct. GI_Mark's nugget is also sort of correct, since it will affect no-bid contracts. But I think tying campaign contributions (I'm assuming what they say is true, by the way) to the governor's opposition is a bit of a stretch. Every government body in the state is opposed to the measure, that I know of.

Ok now I am confused on this too, even after reading the article. The article is saying (if I read this right) that a firefighter can't go talk to a councilman about getting new firefighters (completely job related) unless its on his private time and he's not on the clock. That makes no sense to me, He has to be off the clock to talk about on the clock stuff??? or am i missing something here.

Jeremy, thank you for clarifying that.

Homesteader, if I understand this correctly, you have the right interpretation. Geesh, why can't they just write bills so we can all understand them???? They can be so confusing.

I was planning on voting against this measure, but then I heard that if this goes through the government will no longer be able to use tax dollars for campaign funds. Is that true? This is definitely one of the more confusing bill we've had!

Honestly Danny as poorly written as the whole thing is... I would just vote no and hope those with the agenda can get their act together and write a better law.

I don't think the government does any campaigning with direct use of tax funds as it is.

I will vote no on Initiated Measure 10. The measure will open up a new can of worms. We have enough problems and concerns, why create more problems and concerns.

I can't see any reason to vote YES on this one at all. To many holes and inconsistencies.
