Is it really as cheap as online search tells me? My ex said long time ago he use to pay 200$ for bedroom. I see apt for 415$, and 2 bd for 600$. How come? Is this in the bad areas? Is Spokane really this cheap? I am we are talking Arkansas prices here.

Spokane is a pretty trashy city..........filled with a LOT of bums, tweakers, pill heads, *******, obese fatties, chain smokers, parolees and other dreck.............high crime rate to boot. If you try to charge too much........well, you would have a huge vacancy rate. Live in a cheap place and you WILL not be living around the greatest folks....I can assure you of this.

I have lived all over Washington state for most of my life.....about a year in Spokane. There is a lot I like about The Spokeadelphia.....but it has to be one of the trashiest cities EVAH!!!!

I think tickyul's analysis is not very comprehensive. There are many different areas of Spokane. If you visit South Hill, Downtown, Northside and way north like Wandermere, you'd think they were different cities all together. Additionally, rent prices are pretty similar throughout these areas with some varying about $100. I've lived in Spokane my whole life. I've lived on the South Hill, in the Valley, in the sticks by Mt. Spokane, and currently reside in Colbert (still considered Spokane). I absolutely love where I am at right now. Great schools, fantastic neighborhoods, friendly community, etc. I think your dollar goes a very long way and not becuase the place is a dump. Just do yourself a favor and look around the different areas. I think you'll find Spokane has a lot to offer for any budget and lifestyle.
