This is nothing short of disgraceful that the Super Rugby teams are resting many key players versus the touring French and Lions. The Force had no legit reason to. They are not in Super rugby playoff contention. The Blues resting several versus France is almost as bad. After the France game they have 4 or 5 weeks off!!

Very unhappy about this. As its unjustified.
That's a shame. I guess that's the mixed blessing of professionalism; the quality of athleticism and facilities has increased, but pride doesn't matter nearly as much.
Anyway, have you all caught any of the major tests today? I'm watching the Boks vs Italy, who impressed me during the Six Nations but are getting destroyed nonetheless, so I can't really evaluate South Africa from this. How did the All Blacks look against France?

The All Blacks were without Dan Carter and Richie McCaw. It was a below average performance IMO. Rusty another word that comes to mind. Which is often the case for the first Test of the year.
But they got the win 23-13 final. France get some key players back for the remaining two Tests.
They have a tour match vs the Blues in a couple of days. Blues fielding a very weak team. But still could be a competitive game (hopefully).
To be fair though Paul, rugby fever is huge over here. Its our 3rd/2nd sport. Our club teams dominate Europe and are the best around(well Leinster and Ulster anyway).
On the other hand, all our big names were gone. It was a young team. The funny thing is is that if it was all our top lads, we probably would of lost lol!!!!!
Ireland beat the USA in a tight game. Not a massive deal as not many of the big names were there. Got to get a good luck at the young lads.
And I missed this too :/ I really need to get my head out of my ass! I live about 30 mins from the stadium and spaced on the game. Same thing happened when Ireland played England in Denver a few years ago. Was at the Rapids game (in my Ireland rugby jersey) when about 8 huge guys pointed at me and came over to me (I had no idea what was going to happen) and they spoke and it turned out they were all in the England squad wanting to know if I was spending the night to watch the game the next day!
Wouldn't say VERY. Irelands a country of 4million and have many players absent. You can't read to much into it.
I wouldnt either, you have to factor in new caps, manager, missing players to the Ireland squad. Top that with the heat and humidity being a nightmare for Irish people I bet.
