If it were any player, I might have said it was just a moment of fit and could have happened to anyone but not so with Novak Djokovic who has been known to throw tantrums and behave like a spoiled ill tempered brat both on and off the court (remember the time when he made the ball girl cry after she didn't hand him his towel fast enough?). His temper and poor judgement finally caught up to him and I hope this incident serves to remind him to be a better person and a better sport.

The line judge acted as she got hit by a fastball by Roger Clemens, ridiculous Novak was joke tapping the ball. The world is now so PC. Examples, some ladies get offended by being called a lady, its a person or else.
Unreal. This is so 2020. Without Federer and Nadal participating this year, Djoker had the easiest of paths to yet another Grand Slam title. Perhaps Medvedev would have given him a challenge. This magnifies why a lot of tennis fans don’t like Djokovic. Moments earlier, Djokovic used a medical timeout for a supposed injury, something he is notorious for when things just go a little bit south. He had been broken and looked to be about to lose the first set surprisingly (still would have been unlikely he’d lose the match).
I wasn’t watching at the time, but rather was following on my phone. When Carreno-Busta was awarded the match minutes later, I had assumed Djoker had in fact suffered a serious injury, and I went scrambling to figure out what had happened. Couldn’t believe what had occurred. But again, it is 2020.

Nope. You cannot rush to judgement like that. The line judge first of all was an older person who probably did not have the same reflexes as a young athlete. Watching the clip below, you can see that the ball was no 100 MPH fastball but it was hit fast enough and hard enough to cause some pain. The line judge topped over because she either did feel pain or she was taken by shock. Even so, the fact that the judge was hit and toppled over which itself could have caused serious injury to an older person is grounds for ejection.
Best shot of the match (joking). I can hear a collective groan from ESPN, which is paying 70 million for the rights to broadcast this. No Federer, Djokovic or Nadal zzzzzz.
As a huge fan of the sport, I understand that emotions sometimes get out of control when one is frustrated with their play. However, the rules are in place for a reason and he broke them and hurt someone in the process. He has acted out many times before and he needed to be called on it. I don't think he's a bad guy at all. I think he's just human, but didn't think about his actions.
Personally I think it will make for a much more interesting Open to not have an "assured" winner. I welcome the opportunity to see some "new blood" in the latter rounds.
