Didnt look that easy to me. 3 players 1 shot back, and 4 players 2 shots back. Far from a slam dunk. Always interesting when a player comes from behind to win.
He's the media's Golden Boy because he's a POC in a sport that was traditionally country club Anglo.
Interesting that you would reduce the greatest golfer of our time - arguably of all time... to a caricature based on color.

I still remember him from the Mike Douglas Show when he was 2, so maybe that’s why.
And as far as being morally corrupt (or even bankrupt), out of the thousands of men and women who play professional golf or any sport that you enjoy watching, I guess you think he is the only one that has cheated on his ex, or done anything that is "morally questionable?" Do you think all those on the field are saints? Or just that they weren't publicly outed.
Do you indeed want to see him win? Maybe that's because you enjoy watching the greatest of all time and be done with it.
If you are speaking generally when you say "we" want to see him win, then maybe it's because "we" see him as a athlete and don't care about his foibles.
Morally "bankrupt" is the term I think you were referring to.
The media has made him a God. And the lemming masses have ate it up.
The media's role was purely passive - they simply responded to the tidal wave of public interest and support given Tiger once he arrived on the scene and showed us what he could do - week after week after week.
As Jack faded from prominence in golf, a new era was ushered in where more tournaments than not were won by guys you'd never heard of and would never hear from again. B-O-R-I-N-G! It didn't take long before there became no point in following pro golf because it became a parade of flukes and ratings suffered accordingly. There was no legitimate heir....no one worthy of a continued following....no star. Until Tiger came along.
Golf needs at least one true star - perhaps more so than most other sports - or nobody's gonna turn it on. I mean, you can go down to your local course and watch mediocrity any time you want. Tiger was a blessing and now is a blessing again.
Back in the day, I never missed a Muhammad Ali fight. Had no interest whatsoever in any others. Tiger is golf's Muhammad Ali.

He also fought back from physical issues that would retire many people. And morally, he's a saint compared some of far higher position than 'golfer' in this country.

I wouldn't say don't care, but rather given the divorce rates Wood's committed a sin many others have also falling into and lost their family if in a less public fashion. That he recovered from such public shamming is a good thing. And this is one of the sports with its physical focus takes any prejudicial judging out of the matter
Great win for Tiger, really enjoyed watching him exhibit some of his old talents on the golf course
