Forsythe is one of those little "Mayberry" type towns where the guys can go hang out (with Dave) at the Barber Shop and people know you by name. Quiet, beautiful and nostalgic!

We looked long and hard in the Forsyth area...it's a charming little town. Yep, I guess you could say it's kind of like a Mayberry. It's along the lake and we looked at several pieces of property that overlooked the lake (no acreage) or was more country (with acreage). You can get to it from Branson or from Hiway 65 north of Branson.

We didn't buy there because we need enough land to build an RV garage/shop and we wanted to be in a restricted development for resale reasons. But we love the little town..and it's a real town rather than a spot on the road.

Default can find it...

You can find any size bit of property out here depending on budget and/or how far your willing to be from the lake/city. Lot's of larger properties for sale but the closer to the lake the higher the $$.

Never hurts to look. There are also lots of little towns around one of the lakes that may work for you. Shell Knob is a bit further out but is a nice lake area.

Forsyth (no e as some have) is a good town - I grew up there and lived there for about 18 years. There are several routes to get to Branson from there, each taking about 15-20 minutes depending on how used to the roads you are, the route, and the traffic. But it made it far enough that all the summer tourists didnt come romping through our town, which was nice.

There are alot of lakes, creeks, etc with great fishing/water sports and a good bit of large properties/land for sale in the area. Even if you dont get something ON the lake, there will be lakes nearby which is nice.
