As someone who celebrated our mensiversary (yup, that's what you should technically call it!) every month until at least the 4th year of your relationship I say good for you!

We still try and do a date night around the 8th each month -- it's just a nice reminder to make time for one another.

i second this for Indian food....

and congrats and have a GREAT time.... we, of course, will be expecting a report by Monday.....

Hate to sound like a giant d-bag here but this just smells like a hint of desperation to me. I hope it works out though, atleast the guy is serious about it.

Despicableme, its not a desperation - some people are just that lucky sometimes to meet the right girl Thanks everyone for your input. I took her to Broadway Oyester Bar instead. I was very offended by a few of you but hey, its all cool. You don't know me and I don't know you - so you wouldn't necessarily know if I am doing it for bodily pleasure or a lifelong happiness. No harm done. Thanks anyways

Sorry if I worded it wrongly man, from my experience splurging on a 2 month anniversary could be perceived as a weakness by most women, which is what I wanted to get across.

Its still none of my business though and I regret what I said. Apologies again!

For what it's worth, Despicable, I agree. I don't think women consciously look at it as a weakness when it occurs. I'm sure most women are flattered by the gesture. But if that is going to be the tone of the relationship, then there is the possibility that the man in that type of a relationship will in the long run be looked at as not "wearing the pants", so to speak.

And I don't think it matters whether the guy is doing it for "bodily pleasure" or "true love" the fact is that most women are attracted to strong, masculine (in personality as well as physically) men.
