Correct! Oneida didn't sound right when I was tying it up but didn't catch it. Bridgeport, Town of Sullivan , County of Madison is going to be cheaper in taxes than Bridgeport, Town of Cicero, Onondaga County.
I have never seen that before. Can you find any examples of this? Are they by the lake?

It looks really nice from the outside and it does seem like there is a little bit more interest in the neighborhood. I saw some people sitting outside of a couple of restaurants last night and it felt pretty chill, as others were biking or walking in the area.

Apartments planned for vacant knitting factory on Syracuse's West End

The city's Landmark Preservation Board on 9/18 reviewed plans from the Sutton Companies to convert a former textile factory into 40 apartments. The availability of historic preservation tax credits will determine whether the redevelopment of the former West Brothers Knitting Company Building moves forward. In June, the property on the 700 block of Emerson Avenue was nominated to the State and National Registers of Historic Places.

I'm not sure if this project is still in the cards following the appointment of Chancellor Kent. In 2013, a New York City architect designed plans for what was billed as the "Syracuse University Energy Campus." SU was going to redevelop the former cogen plant on the other side of I-81.

If it does go forward, that would be another option close to Tipp Hill and in between Downtown and the Western suburbs.

I haven't heard anything about the Energy Campus, but if it was something that was thought of before Mr. Syverud became Chancellor, I wouldn't be surprised if it is set aside like the Bookstore project.

I know there's been work down there on the site, but most of it was the removal of other stuff. Not sure I've heard anything lately about it.

That's interesting. It looks like a cool project. Personally, I'd like to see the smokestacks come down because it makes the city look very industrial, but the architect did a great job of redesigning the site so that it looked visually appealing. I wonder if this project is on hold until a decision is made on I -81. By the way, the design for the proposed ESF/OCC water research center at the Inner Harbor looks nice.
