I am curious about the area north of Tallahassee. I am referring to like Havana and toward the Georgia line. There seems to be a lot for sale there at good prices. Multi acres properties. Would there be a reason to not consider this area?
Thank you
in advance.

Havana is not a very clean area, although it's nice. I think you would like being in Leon County, maybe Bradfordville, Killearn Estates, or up North Monroe St. Anything else?

I really like Tallahassee and wanted it as the key city but want to live outside. Even 10 or 20 minutes would be fine. I just don't want to live in any more cities with a neighbor 10 feet from my window and postage stamp properties. I also want to look out at something more then concrete and pavement.

My daughter lives near Havana and it is an excellent area. She does not see her neighbors.

The area looks pretty from what I have seen. It also has a little more elevation then other parts of Florida with a variety of trees. You get tired of pine trees and ground cover that looks like scrub and stickers.

If you look carefully there are quite a few mini mansions to the south west of Havana on the Talavana Trail.

Havana and Chattahoochee seem alright, but Quincy seems pretty rundown. I guess Quincy might be more west than north, but it's in the same county as the other two.

I'd stay in Florida if I were you. Thomas County is OK, but Grady County is one of the poorest, worst-run holes in Georgia.

Leon County (Tallahassee) is about as well-run a county as you will find anywhere, IMHO, and the schools are pretty good too, especially on the north side.

The land itself is gorgeous north, east and west of Tallahassee. I'm looking around there myself to buy a big place one of these days.

That sounds like a throwdown. Next time I go up there I will take pictures and prove you wrong.
